Decision-making occupies a significant portion of our daily life, consequently playing a vital role in shaping our human experience. However, very few people know the precise psychological and biological mechanisms that underlie this process.  The Moral Compass, a philosophical game on moral dilemmas, makes people explore these dilemmas in a visually accessible and authentic way through a video game—allowing them to directly interact with complex situations by experiencing a timed forced choice between two possible answers for three different situations. This game creates a visual experience full of varying colours and abstract interpretations that forge a gateway towards this peculiar facet of the human experience: moral decisions. How do we react when faced with unsolvable dilemmas? The type of choice made the most often will determine the path that will lead each player towards their final moral archetype—between The Crusader and The Keeper. Ultimately, each decision made within the game and each scientific explanation given bring us closer towards understanding our respective moral identities and the cognitive mechanisms that shape human decision-making.
